#sparkchamber 041717 Grace RyderO'Malley

Today in the #sparkchamber, light from another source. Grace Ryder-OMalley is an art administrator at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum — a beautiful place, and the first fully solar-run museum in the country! Check it out online — https://www.paam.org/ — or maybe take a trip to the Cape this summer. It beckons …

1.] Where do ideas come from?

They are constantly coming, never-stopping, always running. Thinking, creating new possibilities, mind searching, new options, next steps. Wake up and start thinking. Never really stopping.

2.] What is the itch you are scratching?

Literally, the poison ivy on my arm which I don’t know where it came from. But less literally, I am really loving my new job so I am running with it. I am working tirelessly and know the feeling might change but hasn’t yet, so I’m just enjoying it until that feeling changes.

3.] Early bird or night owl, tortoise or hare?

Early bird. But night owl when I want to play. Hmmm. I want to be the hare but am also cautious. So perhaps somewhere in between? I want to review and double-check but also work quickly.

4.] How do you know when you are done?

When I’ve run out of time? When I have to pee? Often when Todd is sick of waiting for me. It so depends. Sometimes I know and feel confident, but often it’s more logical than that — just don’t have any more time.
