In these highly-charged political times, #sparkchamber is grateful that politics-and-international-affairs reporter Stéphanie Fillion is taking notes and keeping names. She has a master’s degree in journalism, politics and global affairs from Columbia University and a B.A. in political science from McGill University. French-Canadian — she speaks English, French, and Italian — and multifaceted — she has worked in both broadcast journalism [CBC/Radio-Canada] and print [La Stampa] — she is currently based in New York where she covers the United Nations.

Stéphanie co-produces and hosts a podcast series called UN-Scripted, looking at global affairs through a UN lens. She is also a frequent contributor at PassBlue, writing on wide-ranging topics within her specialties of foreign affairs and human rights. Her most recent article looks at the UN’s efforts to reshape its public image under the leadership of Under-Secretary-General of Global Communications Melissa Fleming. Interesting stuff!
