From our birds-of-a-feather department, #sparkchamber is so pleased to welcome brand + design strategist and facilitator, Jean George. Jean specializes in creating the strategic framework for projects in digital marketing, branding, and change management, as well as in developing corporate training materials. She started her career in advertising, drawn to the dual creative-and-strategic nature of the work, then branched out on her own as an independent consultant. Working with agencies, as well as with brands and startups directly, she has delivered on a wide range of projects with notable clients Pepsi, Tropicana, Walmart, Samsung, and others, working both locally and globally alongside senior stakeholders and C-level executives.

She recently completed a Global Executive MBA at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.  “Doing an MBA actually made me realize how important design and creativity are. I’m happy I have a better background using numbers, but I think it is more important than ever to know how to put a story together and to do it in a visually appealing way.”

Plenty more to see at her website!

1.] Where do ideas come from?

Experiences.

2.] What is the itch you are scratching?

I’m focusing on forming great hobbies and not being solely career focused.

3.] Early bird or night owl, tortoise or hare?

I like to ensure I get some physical activity or nature time before or after working. I really believe it helps with creativity. I also think it’s great to do something every month that you’ve never done before.

4.] How do you know when you are done?

I do not think you are ever done, but it’s always great to get someone else’s opinion.
