Today, the #sparkchamber reveals a little bit about Emily Burton — woman, yoga teacher, and mama to a little boy — living life and finding balance along the way. She recently took the leap and opened her own yoga studio in Nevada City, CA. Take a peek at theyogadive.com, or, if you're in the area, jump in and take a class!

1.] Where do ideas come from?

Out of a desire to create something I am seeking in my own life.

2.] What is the itch you are scratching?

Remember who you are outside of all the roles you play for other people. Find your personal joy and intention with your life. Find the outlet for your unique voice and then let loose!

3.] Early bird or night owl, tortoise or hare?

None of the above. My best time is late morning — and my projects always start with fireworks and often fizzle out before completion. This is a HUGE struggle for me. What I'm finding is that if I can enlist people who can do the "business" end of things- the technical and the follow through- the details- then I have a better chance of seeing my ideas come to life.

4.] How do you know when you are done?

My projects are usually 'events' so they end at a certain time. However, if it's open-ended, like my attempt at a podcast or a video series, it usually just ends when I get bored or discouraged or tired. I'm not proud of this. I'm working on follow-through.
